September 29, 2017 update: “We love Pluto! Latest discoveries from the New Horizons Mission”. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ron Barnell will not be able to speak on Globular Clusters. Instead, Dr. Valerie Rapson will give a talk on NASA’s New Horizons mission which made the first reconnaissance of the dwarf planet Pluto and will now venture deeper into the distant, mysterious Kuiper Belt – a relic of solar system formation as it helps us understand worlds at the edge of our solar system.
