Cosmic Adventures Lecture Series
Cosmic Adventures Lecture Series (formerly Senior Science lectures) are 1 hour lectures for science interested adults that cover a variety of astronomy topics and are designed for all skill levels. No astronomy knowledge is necessary, just come and enjoy learning! All adults and teenagers are welcome.
These lifelong learning presentations can be brought to you or streamed to your group. These adult programs by Dudley Astronomer, Dr, Mindy Townsend, are appropriate for libraries, science clubs, senior living communities, and other adult-serving organizations.
Pricing - $150 per hour long program
Programs can be booked by filling out a reservation form and emailing it to info@DudleyObservatory.org. A representative will reach out to you to finalize your program booking. All bookings are based on the availability of staff and are made on a first come first serve basis.
Star Parties
Join us for an astronomy lesson and dark sky observing at the Octagon Barn in Delanson, NY! Programs include a 1 hour talk by local astronomy enthusiasts, followed by a star party if the weather is clear. If you want to see the Milky Way this is the place to be! Amateur astronomers and families are invited to bring binoculars or telescopes. Family friendly. Programs will be held rain or shine under the covered pavilion.
Octagon Barn star parties are held monthly on a Friday night from April-November.
